Squaw Peak recreation area
Squaw Peak is one of Phoenix’s best known landmarks with its craggy,
easily identifiable pinnacle. The Squaw Peak Summit Trail is one of the
Valley’s most popular hiking trails. A two-hour round trip for many hikers, this trail is a very strenuous hike to the summit. It is 1.2 miles one way with a 1,200 foot elevation gain. The summit of Squaw Peak is 2,608 feet above sea level. |
